We are able to compound in any strength and can customize with the many fillers we have available to us, including microcrystalline cellulose (Avicel®), Loxoral®, or ascorbic acid.
Hydroxyzine pamoate has been used over the decades for use in sleep, anxiety, and psychiatric care by the medical community. Hydroxyzine pamoate or Vistaril®, as is known by many, is an antihistamine with anticholinergic (drying) and is used as a sedative to treat anxiety and tension. Side effects include dizziness, sedation, blurred vision, dry mouth, stomach upset and headaches. Common doses are 25, 50, and 100mg, but any strength can be compounded, including liquids, quick dissolve tablets, modified released capsules, and a transdermal cream using Lipoderm®, a liposomal formulation designed to transport drugs thru the skin.
Our state-of-the-art laboratory uses the latest equipment for powder blending, thus ensuring a complete uniform mixture. This is accomplished by using our RAM (resonant acoustic mixer) that uses both vibration and sound waves to provide powder blends with reproducible accuracy.
